Additional Jazz Brunch Dates

We enjoyed participating in the Ft. Lauderdale Suntrust Jazz Brunch yesterday and have decided to make this a regular event. The Jazz Brunch takes place on the first Sunday of every month on the Ft. 21st Annual ABW Day Celebration

Kizmet Kreations will be participating for the second year in a row as a vendor at this women’s conference. The event is sponsored by the Broward, Palm Beach, and Dade County Chapters of The American Business Women’s Association. The conference takes place from August 28-30. Vendor Displays are on Saturday, August 29th, 2009  from 8am-12pm. The event takes place at :

Suntrust Jazz Brunch

We were accepted to the Suntrust Jazz Brunch in Ft. Lauderdale for July. If the event goes well, we may do the event monthly.

This event takes place the first Sunday of every month on the Riverwalk in downtown Ft. Lauderdale. Stroll the Riverwalk while listening to live jazz bands, eating local fare, and browsing local vendors. Or you can bring a blanket and relax on the lawn. The event takes place from 11am-2pm.

Woodstock Arts & Crafts Festival

I know it’s six months away, but we just got accepted as vendors for the 29th Annual Woodstock Arts & Crafts Festival which takes place December 5th and 6th, 2009. The festival is held at the beautiful Welleby Park in the City of Sunrise, FL. This pre-holiday event has become a premier South Florida Winter Festival. This year’s show will feature arts and crafts displays and plant and nursery areas. In addition, there will be entertainment, international foods, and even a visit from Santa!

Festival hours are 9am-5pm Saturday and 9am-4pm on Sunday

City of Pembroke Pines 2009 Fall Arts & Crafts Show

The City of Pembroke Pines Community Services Department will be hosting its annual Fall Arts & Crafts Show at the Southwest Focal Point Senior Center Saturday, September 26th and Sunday, September 27th. The hours of the show are:

Saturday 9am-5pm

Sunday 10am-4pm

Arts and crafts will be displayed and available for purchase in over 53,000 square feet of air conditioned comfort! The Senior Center is located off Johnson Street, one block west of Palm Avenue at 301 NW 103rd Ave. in Pembroke Pines, FL. This is a great place to get a head start on holiday shopping!

Jazz Fest

This past weekend we participated in the 18th Annual Jazz and Harvest Fest at Lakeridge Winery in Clermont, FL. It was a relaxing three day event where we got to listen to great music and browse interesting handcrafted items while selling our own tie-dye designs. We managed to survive the heat by sipping wine slushies, standing under the water mist, and eating ice cream. The only mishap was a wind storm that blew in Saturday night which colapsed many of the vendors tents. Ours was badly damaged, but luckily, none of our merchandise was harmed. The other vendors were great and helped us out in repairing our tent. After four hours and several recycled parts, our tent was as good as new. Regardless, this was a great event, and we plan on continuing to participate in events at this venue in the future. Additional dates for 2009 are as follows:

Changes to our site

In addition to upcoming items which can be found at http://www.kizmetkreations.com/futureprojects.html, we are in the process of making some changes to our site. We will still be offering one of a kind and limited edition clothing, but we will be adding a section where you can have t-shirts, onesies, and accessories custom made from several choices. Our plan is to show several different designs and let you choose the background color. We have already started doing this with our infant onesies. We plan to offer hats, socks, hair scrunchies, and shoelaces with different color choices so you can match accessories to clothing items bought on our site.

In our girl’s and women’s sections, we plan to reduce the variety of styles offered but to increase size and design selection. This way when ordering, customers will be more likely to find something they like in their size.

These changes will be taking place gradually over the next few months. Hopefully these changes will make shopping more convenient for out guests.

Our Tie-dye Expertise Used For Article in The Parklander Magazine!

In April, while I was doing a tie-dye demonstration for the Coral Springs Craft Guild, Lois Crocket was busy taking notes for her article on Tie-dye for the Parklander magazine. Ms. Crocket utilized a lot of the information I gave during the demonstration and asked for photos of my work to be utilized in the article. The article came out  in the June 2009 issue of The Parklander. We will be displaying the article at our future events.

Change in Schedule

After participating in the Westfield Broward Mall venue last weekend, we have decided that due to the current economy, we will temporarily postpone doing any further mall shows. We had previously planned on being at the Broward mall in August and October but have withdrawn from those events. We have decided to refocus our efforts primarily on craft shows.

We will be in Clermont the second weekend in June for a three day festival at Lakeridge Winery. Check our events section on our website for further details. We are planning our fall schedule, and will post details as soon as they are available. We also have some additional possibilities lined up for the summer so stay tuned…..
